Chief Strategy Officer
Jennifer Thomas is our Chief Strategy Officer charged with creating a strategic plan for operations and program implementation. With a track record for developing innovative ideas, she guides the organization to employ human-focused, technology-based services that lead to smarter, better-connected, and more inclusive communities.
Prior to DigitalC, she was Program Director at Knight Foundation, where she managed over $18 million in grants to develop core city revitalization and support entrepreneurship, technology, and the arts. Jennifer launched and led two organizations: the Civic Innovation Lab (2003-2010), which provided over $1.5 million in grants to startups that had community impact on Cleveland; and ClevelandClicks (1999-2003), a social networking group that captured Cleveland’s nascent tech startup stories and connected entrepreneurs. She began her career in finance working for Sony Music and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in New York.
Jennifer has an MBA degree from New York University and a bachelor’s degree from Denison University. She is the advisory board chair for the Women’s Business Center of Northeast Ohio and a founding advisor for SEA Change, a new Social Entrepreneurship Accelerator.
