We develop programs and intentional spaces that spur inclusive innovation and community connections.
- Effective innovation spaces invest in human capital with inclusive programming for a broad range of users to the digital economy, beyond traditional “techies”
- Placemaking and balance among “live, work and play” activities creates sustainable, thriving neighborhoods
- Digital access is the foundation allowing programmatic on-ramps to the emerging digital economy for all
NEIGHBORHOOD INNOVATION SPACES
DigitalC will develop innovation spaces in city neighborhoods that build on existing community assets, enhance neighborhood quality, and grow the innovation economy. Based on specific neighborhood assets, the spaces will have diverse users and host robust programming to grow the digital economy for all.
CONNECT THE UNCONNECTED
The Connect the Unconnected pilot program uses 21st century technology to ensure access to high-speed connectivity in specific neighborhoods where the digital divide is leaving an ever-growing segment of the population farther behind in the digital economy. In addition to access, the program will leverage partnerships to design training and micro-credentialing programs for 21st century work skills.
ReStart Program - Training program of digital literacy skills for the unconnected.
Connect the Unconnected - A pilot program in partnership with Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority, providing online access, devices, and digital literacy and job training
CITIZEN TECH SERIES
The Citizen Tech Agenda will feature informative and interactive community conversations on topics showcasing technology’s role in generating resident-driven, intelligent, responsive and inclusive solutions in our communities. Partnering with the community, this program will ensure that all voices are heard in the transformation from a manufacturing to a digital economy.
